    Blackhawk help

Trying to get a little history on this .357.
A.P. Sherman engraved on the back strap and a six digit (no hyphens or letters) serial number? I did a cursory google just found xx-xxxx type serials. Mine is xxxxxx which is confusing to me.
Three screws adjustable rear sight no** transfer bar safety!

I have a 4 digit serial numbered 30 carbine Blackhawk.
I think the hyphen did not start till 1968 or 1969. Other than that I think there was a serial number data base on the Ruger website. It's been awhile since I've checked so I hope the info is correct.
      Good Luck!

I saw those! But mine is a straight six digits same size / font / spacing. I'd like to date it find some history it's part of owning the gun as far as I'm concerned. A part that's just as enjoyable as shooting it. I'm always going to have an eye out for a .30 as well to go with my carbine

Here's the link for Serial # Manufacture dates:

I see that my Blackhawk was made in 1968.
Like you, it goes well with my WWII IBM 30 carbine.
