Fully auto glocks? what's that about?

So a friend sends me a you tube link where these guys have fully automatic glocks? I've never seen such a thing (kinda cool BTW), is this some type of modification or are they sold this way? Anywho, just curious to know about these as this is the first time I have seen or heard of such a thing.

The Glock 18 is a factory gun that is delivered full auto. It has a selector on the side of the slide.

There are also many products and modifications that are available to make Glocks full auto (on post '86 dealer samples of course).

If thats the video where the guy shoots himself?? I believe it was a Glock 18. The Glock 18 can fire semi or full auto.

The GLOCK18 was developed after 1968, so there's no way there can be any GLOCK18s in non-dealer possession in the US. They can only exist in dealer hands (with the correct permits)

The GLOCK17 came out in 1982, so it's very possible that there might be a few registered select-fire kits that were manufactured before 1986 in the US.
However, like the GLOCK18, the kits could also be manufactured, or bought, by FFLs with the correct permits.

I've shot the GLOCK18 and various other GLOCKs with the kit installed (the 26 was pretty interesting in FA) and it's kinda pointless, if you ask me, but as a novelty I guess it has it's place.

An actual Glock Model 18 has the selector switch on the left side of the slide.

A converted Glock has the selector switch on the back of the slide.

There are no pre-86 Glock Model 18s, so civilian ownership is not fesible wthout considerable effort and money. If you want to spend the money and jump the hoops, you will have to be a 01-FFL Class 3 SOT dealer and have a LE demo letter for the Glock Model 18.

I believe the BATFE has stated that there are no registered pre-86 Glock full-auto conversions. If you want one, you have to either become a 01-FFL Class 3 SOT dealer & have a LE demo letter or get a 07-FFL Class 2 SOT, which will allow you to make a full-auto conversion for a Glock.

If you ever give up your FFL/SOT, you have to to get rid of the full-auto Glock. Also expect to pay $500-1150 a year to maintain your FFL/SOT status, along with conducting business to show you are a legit FFL/SOT.

LOL GLOCK! I work for the movie division (sony pictures entertainment) and have used the "sony" discount to buy for daughter and nephew's game set-ups. Now I did give "Grand theft auto" a whirl, after 20 minutes of not getting the controls I gave up HAHA.
