    P210 Legend

I can't believe I took custody of this in January and haven't been able to shoot it yet!

I've always wanted one and was on the fence about getting the new Legend or one of the original used Swiss ones. Maybe I'll get the Swiss one at a later date?

I'm not into safe queens so i'll have to shoot it when I get the chance.

I'm just glad it came with an extra magazine. Also, I just noticed that the grip has some grip lines which adds to the character. The slide to frame fit on this gun is awesome!

    Be cool!

The original Swiss ones have that strange mag holder which snaps in below the mag.. Took me a while to figure that out. ( I shot one in CH ).

              .

If they put as much TLC into it as they do their X5s, you should be a happy, happy camper indeed. Beautiful gun.

Noob question: Aside from the aforementioned European heel release, what other major differences are there between the newer German-made vs. the older Swiss-made models? Thx.

Just to give you a comparison, here is what an original Swiss one looks like

...and a look at the older Swiss Cross Nills grips and the bolt on beavertail

Aside from the magazine release, they changed the shape of the of the safety lever and the slide stop slightly.

The first thing I noticed was the lack of the lanyard loop and how they have incorporated a beavertail into the frame on the new ones.

The new beavertails feel like the ones on their current Elite series, the old ones feel more like a 1911 beavertail.

You can't tell by looking at pictures, but the 210-2 in the hand feels like a lighter steel framed 1911

interesting how the trigger is angled upwards by that much.

never understood why many pistols with similar trigger mechanisms and set-ups (trigger goes straight back into gun, doesn't hinge backwards over a pivot point) never did that - just opening and closing your fingers its rather apparent that the finger comes in at an angle. although i can't imagine it's as drastic as it is on the 210.

Congrats and let me know if you ever want to sell it.

I love a 210, but as a lefty, the safety is the absolute worst.

I'm sure you knew what you meant when you posted it, but I've read it a few times and can't quite figure it out.

I can't tell if you found it interesting that the trigger is hinged and pivots around a pin or if you are thinking it is an odd angle for a trigger that moves straight back.

The trigger of the SIG 210 pivots on a pin in the frame, just that of the FN P-35 and most other pistols...it isn't even a very acute angle on the 210
