Springfield EMP 9mm wait time??

Well finally went down to Barnwood Arms in Ripon and ordered a Springfield EMP 1911 9mm. I searched and searched and just like everything, I couldn't find it in stock anywhere. I called Springfield and asked what the approximate shipping time would be and they said 3-6 months. I laughed. Now this will be for my wife as her carry gun and she wasn't having anything else. So, I ordered it. Barnwood said it would more likely be 6-9 months, but Im thinking longer. I could of bought it used from a cal-gunner on here, but he was asking too much and I needed to have the Springfield warranty since I will be sending it in to have the feed ramps polished. Anyway, out the door it cost me $1397! Oh well, like I said, it was for my wife. I'm expecting about this time next year it should be here with all this madness among us. Anyone received anything from Springfield recently or want to guess on my wait time???

Springfield will honor their warranty regardless of whether or not you're the original owner, and there's no shortage of EMP's on GB.

The EMP is one awesome gun. Great purchase on that!

My co-worker had one and carried it daily. I got to shoot it a few times and it rocked!

I wouldn't expect to have the feed ramp polished...mine has been feeding everything from lead reloads to Ranger Talon JHPs just fine for a couple of thousand rounds.

The only bobble was with long lead reloads...it turned out to be a rough spot in the upper lug engagement surfaces. I had SA CS smooth it up...they said it would smooth up with use, but I told them it was a carry gun

There is one of these at City Arms in Pleasant Hill if you aren't willing to wait. I think they are asking $1,250.00 or so..

Broke down and bought one of gun broker from a local guy. Do the transfer in the morning. Only thing is, I I have a $450 deposit at my local gun store.

EMP is a nice little piece.. little too expensive for mw, but fine piece.
Enjoy.. my lady likes my 4th Gen Glock 26... eats everything without any problem
