glock 10 round limiters

I picked up my new Glock 17L longslide today and it came with 17 round mags(which were taken apart by dealer to comply with laws as kits). Where do i find 10 round limiters for the glock 17, 17 round mags?

Nope. Limiters do not exist for normal capacity ("hi-cap") Glock magazines, at least not yet (think NY). I don't think it is possible due to the double stack design of a normal capacity magazine without significant changes such as springs, and followers.

Learn something new everyday; I heard of pmag blocks but this is a interesting product. I personally would just get dedicated 10 round mags.

the 10 round factory mags aren't reliable and are really hard to get the 10th round in. Practically have to slam them in with on in the chamber.

I have never had a failure with Glock factory 10rd mags in my G17.

Never had a problem with factory 10 rnd mags in G26, G27, G19, G23, G22.

But yes the last rnd in the G27 can be tight for awhile, but those are 9 rnd across the country.

Your Glock 17 round mags are money-in-the-bank. Bag them up as parts kits and just buy some 10 rounders. Keep them fresh and new. JMO

How well used (or new) are your 10 round factory mags? The springs can be tough at first, so some manufacturers like Glock give you a mag loader to help load that 10 round.

I've never had a stoppage/malfunction using factory Glock 10 round magazines.
I've used factory limited 10 round magazines for the Glock 17, 19, 21, 22 and 23.

Glock makes the magazines spring strong so that the last round is hard to load on purpose. Back in 1994-95, the first batches of factory limited 10 round magazines could load 11 rounds after being broken in. As a result, Glock changed the magazine springs so that the magazines could only load 10 rounds after being broken in.

Weird, unlike 1911 magazines (because they come from 1000 manufacturers) Glock mags are highly reliable (imho).

If the 10th round is tough, just load 9 until it feels benevolent enough to allow you the 10th round.
