Hey y'all, I'm now looking for a 4" Model 65 to go with this 3" puppy for my collection (see WTB forum if interested), pre-lock/pre-MIM. Throw me a heads up if you happen to see one around Norcal.

Just wanted to add a +1 to Sportsmans in Campbell as a great place to shop.

I used to live a few minutes from that place and when I turned 18 (early 90's) I went in there and bought a brand new Norinco SKS Paratrooper (shorty carbine) for $119.95!

Gave it to a buddy when I moved to FL for college and have regretted it ever since!

Another plus for Sportman's. I picked up a used Rossi .357 Carbine there a year or so back, after shooting it the front sight shifted, turned out it was stripped. Took it back, talked with Mike and left it with the smith. He had a hard time finding one, so I found one in Texas from a smith that was building me a custom Rossi Trapper. Sportman's paid for the part, shipping, and the repair. Full kudos. Next gun I bought was a Henry .22, and got the best price from them. Next up is a S&W 642, and they beat everyone's price again. I price checked our in house Irvington ($20.00 more) and San Jose Gun Exchange told me no worries they would beat the price. I waited until they got back from a hunting trip as asked, than they refused to give me a price. Wanted me to drive down...like a slick used car dealer. If a man can't tell me a price over the phone I am not inclined to do business with them, not saying that's for everyone, but it works for me. Anyhow, Sportman's is good in my book.

I've spent a lot of money there in the past; looking at some old receipts the other day, I see I picked up a 5" Model 27-2 with no box back in '95 for $250.00.
          Damn.

I have a perfect Burning Man attendance record: zero.

Very cool, looks alot like the 650 I just picked up for $400 locally. I love 3/4/5 inch S&W's! Especially in stainless.
