Who makes the better drop in barrel?

I wanted to get a drop in barrel. I looked at Storm Lake, KKM and WOlf. Who makes the better barrel? Wolf prices are less and each website on all three brands basically state the same thing. I want to get just a stock length barrel for my Glock. All say match grade better accuracy.

Anyone have a particular favorite and why?

I have two KKM barrels, one in a Glock 34 and the other in a Glock 20. Both work flawlessly, and both are excellent in all respects. Given the first rate quality of the barrels you mentioned, it appears to me to come down to personal choice. (Ford vs Chevy or perhaps Mercedes vs Lexus). In any case unless you are trying to ring out the last bit of accuracy of a specific gun, or are shooting lead bullets, there is no real need to swap out the factory barrel.

I have no experience with SL, but I've owned both LWD & KKM barrels. The KKM is head & shoulders above the LWD. I had serious problems with my LWD barrels, and the fit and finish was terrible. I never understood why anyone would spend 50% more for what I thought was the same thing, until I bought a KKM and saw it in person. There really is no doubt in my mind which is the better barrel, and yes, the KKM is worth every penny over the LWD.

my LoneWolf .40-9mm conversion barrel has worked great for 1200 rounds so far. Picked it up for my G23, and no faults experienced yet

KKM and Storm Lake are good. While lonewolf might work, I've had problems with a couple of them. (some are good, some are not so good)

If I had to pick one, it would be KKM. Really a high quality barrel.

I've used them all in various guns and found them to work equally well. You can't go wrong between those choices.

Early on I heard some people had problems and had to change the extractor, but I think those problems have been fixed a long time ago.

I have 2 lone wolf 40-9 barrels one in a G27 and one in a G23 and both have been perfect.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.

Zero problems with a LW 40/9 barrel in my G35. I was undecided between the three mfg's you mentioned as well. My decision was made based that at the time both Storm Lake and KKM conversions were back ordered for 4-6 months. Didn't want to wait, so went with the LW. No regrets so far.

Storm Lake. I had 2 ported barrels (none for Glocks) and love them. I had a problem with one and they replaced it fairly quickly. They are expensive but, IMO, worth it.

Unless you have a gunsmith fitted barrel, don't expect any more accuracy than the OEM or with drop in's. Glock accuracy is controlled by the barrel to slide fit. And for the average person, the OEM Glock is more accurate than the shooter is right off the get go. If you don't plan on shooting lead bullets, there is no real reason to get an aftermarket barrel.

My experience is with BarSto, KKM, LoneWolf, Jarvis and Federal, all are hand fitted. They all run fine, but BarSto is the best. One of my G17's with a BarSto is approaching 100,000 rounds.

We have a few lone wolf barrels and they work great. I've never had any problems running them through my Glock's. Accuracy is great as well. Just my experience and 2 cents.

If you don't plan on shooting lead bullets, there is no real reason to get an aftermarket barrel.

I think most of us only do it for caliber conversion. Nice to have the option to shoot 9mm in my Glocks. I've probably saved enough in the last year to pay for both of them.
