    Best frame for 10mm auto?

    Considering exploring this caliber. Ballistics look pretty good, there's some love/hate for this particular round as well. Not starting a thread on the nuances of the round but I would like to know what are some of the best guns for this round. I'm an accuracy nut so quality manufacturers welcome.

    Send off an STI Perfect 10 (6" 2011) to a good smith, or just be happy with a G20. The G20 is THE best platform for 10mm IMHO, so it may not be worth the extra $2000 (stock STI) to $3500+ (after smithing) just for a half inch better precision at 25yds.

    What kind of accuracy are you used to and capable of?

      Get a smith & Wesson 1066 used, they used to be real cheap around 500-550 used..they where made for 10mm highway patrol used the 1076 for a long time... look them up along with some other smith and wesson guns that look similar just with different features I forget their model names think they all start with 10xx though. or a glock 20 which isn't to shabby neither they are both probably as accurate as you are.

        Most accurate Pistol I have is my Kimber Tactical Custom II, the gun is more capable than I am. However I find that I really have to work to get accuracy out of my Glock 23. I would say I am pretty decent but I always see room for improvement.

            I think its the STI...my uncle in Montana has several...long slides and a 9x25 Dillon..for the price though the glock 20 is hard to beat.

              On the same subject, I like the original 1006 as it's built in all Stainless Steel and has the 5in barrel instead of the 4.25 in of the other models. I don't own one myself, but I have a 4506, which is the .45 ACP version.

                STI looks interesting. Sadly it seems that 10mm auto has few options. Seems unfortunate.

                  I like the G20 however if I had a bunch of extra cash I wouldn't mind this one:

                  The G20 does a great job; no accuracy issues. The STI is artwork.

                      Honestly the first thing that comes to mind it a carbine platform, than a G20.

                        Best = Glock

                          I'm sure I missed a few, but I'm pretty happy with that lineup. There could always be more I guess.

                            You can have any of these in 10mm. You design what you want for your gun

                              Yea I suppose there is the 1911's. I am a bit anal though as I haven't really come to appreciate 1911's in calibers other than .45... This is not to say theres anything wrong with them, just seems out of place. Much like the pistol caliber AR's.
