I picked up a couple of BHPs from Royal Tiger Imports (https://www.royaltigerimports.com/top_view.jpg
The plastic handles are scratched to hell, so I replaced them with some Hogue rosewood ones. I think they look sharp, but you can be the judge. While you're looking, you might also notice the nifty Star of David proof mark on the trigger guard.

The bore is bright and crisp. I don't think too many rounds have been down it.

I took it to the range straight from the FFL and ran about a hundred rounds through it. I had two failures to eject, and maybe 5 failures to feed. I was not delighted at all, as you can guess. I took it home, field stripped it and cleaned it out, at which point I found a generous amount of gritty, grey oil throughout the works. I'm hoping that some combination of fresh parkerization, new magazines (CA-legal Browning OEM), and dirty oil was to blame for the poor performance, and that my next range trip will be a little more satisfying. If there's some interest, I'll post a followup about my next range trip, and something about the second pistol when the State of California allows me to collect it.
