That's great. i was in there sunday and they were pretty much cleaned out. Glad they got some stock in, nice folks. Hope people didn't buy them up just to flip 'em."Hence it happened that all the armed prophets conquered, all the unarmed perished." - Niccolo MachiavelliComment

There isn't a whole lot of room to flip one and you are still limited to the 5 handgun transactions per year for selling so it doesn't make a lot of sense to do that with a glock.Originally posted by barrageThat's because Excelsior threads are like toilet bowls. Anyways,
Are glock 17's hard to come by now or soemthing?? lol
I've been more on the ammo/AK/Russian hype lately and haven't even touched my G17 in a while since I bought it last year.
I think I got it for like $605 OTD, I can't rememberComment

On a personal note I can say that the CDOJ doesn't enforce that rule; at least for me or others I know. I think they might if you were 'in the business' of buying and selling guns. (I'am not).
In my opinion, since they are doing about 3500 to 5000 DROS per day, they aren't out checking. I've been a gun nut for decades; probably bought and sold 300 guns and in some years have sold 15 guns...never heard from anybody. This is just my experience.
The purpose of the LAW is to prevent unlicensed people from being in the Gun business. Even if they checked you out, or wrote you a letter you would give them an explanation (it's a hobby, not a business) and they would move on.May the Bridges I burn light the way.

Yeah I have heard the same but I still follow it though but then again I don't sell too many guns that I buy unless I just don't like them. Just because they haven't done anything before doesn't mean that they won't sometime in the future.......it is CA after all lol.On a personal note I can say that the CDOJ doesn't enforce that rule; at least for me or others I know. My guess with the 5 (I thought it was 6) handgun transactions a year, PPT, is that they still need some reason to look more carefully at you and my guess is that if you did 6 or 7 per chance, and made no profit, it would probably not be worth their time...though who knows. And of course you can sell 5000 handguns in one transaction PPT....Comment

I actually have not been in a gun store lately. Maybe the last time was like 2 weeks ago?
The last times I've been to a gun shop I was looking more for used guns and good deals. I don't really look at the handguns anymore or even the 9mm. I truly only look for a offlist Berreta tomcat or bobcat mini pistol that's being sold USED. I just look at the wall that was usually racked up with ARs and AKs in the past that's usually still an empty wall or has just been covered with an american flag (City Arms).
I've been doin more searching in the marketplace than actually looking in gun shopsComment
