Help. Finding mags for Non-B CZ75

    Hi all,

I just bought a pre-b CZ75, it did not come with mags as the previous owner had standard cap mags and was not willing to disassemble.

Some of the magazines im finding are stating "not compatible with non-B models"

But i have yet to see a magazine that is "compatible with pre-B models"

Am I missing something? or are these mags really just hard to find?

Very hard to find. I have read that the mag well on the preB have to be ground a bit at the top to get it to slide home.

I would not have bought the gun without mags, sorry.

Just know all hi caps won't fit. Standard factory and mecgar wont fit. Cz USA was selling pre B mags a while back. I have also heard of people opening up the mag well to get mags to fit.

Those are the mags I was talking about that should fit. The difference between preban 16 and 15 rounders is the followers. The original prebans were 15 rounders.

So if the preb's are hicap, how can you say all hicaps won't fit?

Did some more research and it looks like cz75b 10rounders should fit. Lets hope so. I ordered 2of em. Ordered some 16rd mecgar mags too since it looks like those are hit and miss. Some say they fit some say they don't.

Because not all cz75 hi caps will fit. I guess I worded that wrong. You have a pre B gun. The mag well is smaller on your gun than on a 75b. You need pre b mags. Standard cz75 factory mags and mecgar mags aren't for pre B guns. I don't know if the 10 rounders will fit but hopefully they will.

I understand this. It seems you do too. But the previous way you worded it sounded like "no hi caps will fit". because you said "all hi caps won't fit"

Just be aware that replacement parts can be tough to get. If you take the sear cage out to mod the frame do this where you won't lose the parts if they launch.
