Fiber Optic Poll

I just wanted to take a quick survey of what shooters prefer for their front fiber optic sight.

Red or Green?

I'm not going to list other, or plain black sight. It's either one or the other. Feel free to include why you prefer that specific color.

I like them both but I can pick-up the front sight quicker with the red.

I once heard some guy try to explain how it is in our nature to see green since we all used to be vegetarian..... that same guy now uses RED fiber optic

That is the most ridiculous statement I've ever heard on so many levels... I'm sick of people telling me we're "naturally" vegetarian. Nearly all primates are omnivorous, and most even have cannibalistic tendencies.

Back on subject... I have no clue why, but I'm more comfortable with red. Probably would like green better if I was shooting red targets, though.

Red, and it ain't even close. Nothing grabs your attention like red. Hence red stop signs, red fire engines and ambulances, red signal lights, etc. Even when I captained my hockey teams, we wore red jerseys.

Green is for night sights.

I voted Green by accident, I meant RED! The higher the contrast, the better. I have an Orange FO front sight on my MP9 and the original two white novak rear dots. Green would not be as great a contrast..but may be brighter.
