    Glock 34

Just got me a Glock 34 from Annie's Guns in Fremont. I was surprised they even had this in stock. It was either this or a sig 1911-.45 (they had 2), went with the cheaper option. About 4-5 years ago I sold a brand new glock 34 without ever firing one round to a fellow calgunner ! Needless to say, this puppy is gonna see lots and lots of 9 mila kila rounds down the pipe! ! question I have, the magazine it comes with is a converted 17rd to 10rds for cali, just wondering what they might have done to the mag?

Congrats, I have a Glock 35 same gun just in .40 S&W and I love it.

They just put a block in it to make it a 10 round mag.

I have never in 20 years seen a blocked hicap Glock mag to 10 rounds. Post up a pic of this mag.

I'm glad you said that. I'm new to Glocks and have only seen 10 rounders. I was under the impression they were simply blocked off standard capacity mags that I could unblock when I move out of state.

Now I'm curious what the difference really is.

You are going to love that 34. Very accurate and fun to shoot. Of all my 9mm guns it has to be one of my favorites. Eats any ammo you throw at it. That is of course if you can find any ammo due to the govt buying it all up.

It's probably my #2 9mm with the Browning Hi Power being my #1.

The Glock 10 rounds magazines are a totally different magazine that the standard capacity magazines. The 10 round magazines are essentially single stack magazines with a very stiff ridge of polymer going down both sides on the inside making the inside diameter much thinner. While it may be possible to file/shave down this ridge, I suspect it would be next to impossible to get it right. Also the springs and followers are different.

Thanks for that info. That's something I should have learned before now

Oh well, now I'll have a dozen mags to sell before moving next year.

Congrats on your new buy. It should be easy enough to find 17 round rebuild kits for your 34 from another Calgunner.

Send a PM to ahpd. I got some kits from him last week.
