TRP hurting the value?

So i just bought a TRP full rail operator. I bought it as a bit of an investment.. thats what I tell the wife.. So I was wondering how much it hurts the value to shoot it a bit.. It is like new with only 16 rounds through it.. I really really want to shoot it but also dont want to hurt the value in the event that I sell it...

It's not a collector's item so it's not going to appreciate. The value won't be affected if you shoot it some.

It would take one special special gun for me not to shoot it. There is a difference in shooting it and running it hard like a competition gun.

I really don't see how you could hurt the value by firing the gun.

I don’t think I would ever buy a TRP with the intent NOT to shoot it…

I would put as much ammo as you can afford through that thing, enjoy it, and take care of it…

As long as Springfield continues to make them, prices will not skyrocket to call it an investment.
I do not see any Springfield 1911's doubling in value, maybe maybe the TGO1 or a Champion-TRP, but you never know the wacky laws and market.

Shoot it. I fired about 500 rounds through mine and still got what I paid for it. Luckily I found another BNIB full rail to replace it with and will enjoy this one too. No point of buying something and not shoot it.

It really depends in my opinion. If it is not a gun you wanna keep, then don't. But if you want to keep it for life, shoot the hell out of it! If you got it at a good deal and want to make money out of it then don't.
