i guess my goal in this is to make my gi more "modern" looking. it already functions perfectly. I have probably put 2000 rounds through it and only had 2 malfunctions...and those were due to the chepo 6.99 mguns show mags, the stock sa ones and chip mccormicks are awesome.

I was thinking about adding a wilson combat speed chute

also a skeletonized hammer and trigger of some sort and possibly. Im guessing a new hammer requiers a new sear. i just dont know what i need to get to make it all work inside as well as out. i can build ar's all day but the 1911 is foreign territory for me. i guess i would be worried about taking a perfectly working trouble free gun and turning it into something finicky.

Don't do anything that affects the feeding, firing or function if it's running.

Everything except: Trigger, sights and Feed/fire/function is bells and whistes.

Get those situated, then add little by little. There's no rush if you do the work yourself!

I like magwells, too, on Gov'ts, though... and serrations on top and back... and checkers... and and and... the list goes on and on and on... don't get ahead of yourself. Take it slow.
