got rust? Cerakote!

my kimber 1911 got rust on the frame all because of my dryer. the exhaust hose on it ripped i must have hit it on accident will working on the car in the garage or something. well i had my safe there. while moving it inside i took out my firearms and low and behold i found this on the kimber and it was the only one that had rust. also it was the only one not in a case


so i bought these things thats a 50lb bag of aluminum oxide 120 grit



and during and finished frame



going to finish the slide and other parts tomorow night in FDE

Did the barrel have rust, I thought it was the barrel that they put no treatment.

thanks, and no the barrel had no rust on it, it did before but i took care of that but i went ahead and coated it anyways
