So I got my first Glock 17 about 3 years ago. Fast forward to today when I pick up another G17 after the 10-day wait, take it home and see that the serial number is one digit lower than my old G17. So by random chance I now have 2 consecutively numbered Glocks. Go figure.

So, how did that happen? Did it sit in the store for three years waiting for you or is it a used gun?I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.Comment

wow! that's amazing I think you should probably sell those as a matched pair and then buy yourself 4 more glocks with the profit you will make. Don't worry those will probably be consecutive numbers as well.
but seriously that is the 1 in 1,000,000 type coincidence I don't know what it means but it means something.Comment

Got it as a used gun, but the seller did get it at the same shop as I did. I know that ups the likelihood, but who would have thought the pair would be reunited after 3 years?Comment

Actually, that's not surprising at all. One reason Glocks are cheap (I mean, uh, inexpensive) is that they only use three different serial numbers for all of them. Saves on stamping costs. I have two with the same serial number. A collector I know has two sets of G17s, each with all three consecutive numbers.
Disclaimer: This is a joke. I know it's not true! A joke!
Jeez!
