Just wanted to let you all know I have started a Sacramento area Shooters and Gun owners Forum, I Hope that is not against cal guns rules to post this but if it is please let me know and delete the post. I am loosely modeling it after Cal Guns and am a HUGE fan of this forum and will still be very involved here, the best form of flattery is Imitation...right

not to hijack, but are there any good gun shops within walking distance of the state capitol? i'm taking an Amtrak up to sacramento on tuesday to buy a car, and i'll have about 5 hours to kill beforehand. (interested in looking at a lot of 1911's and OLL's)

The closest was Old Sacramento Armory. It closed in November. Next closest one I think is River City Gun Exchange but it is not walking distance.

David's Loan would be the one within walking distance but I have not been there in years and don't know what his inventory is like. Mostly a pawn shop with some guns.
