    which 1911 22lr conversion?

    Hi guys
I'm thinking of getting a 22lr conversion for my springfield loaded. I've been looking through a bunch of different conversion kits and need a little help deciding. So far i've looked at advantage arms, marvel, kimber and ciener. I'd like to get one with a lockback feature(but it is completely optional) and something that runs flawlessly on federal champion bulk ammo. Which one do you guys prefer/reccommend?
    Thanks!

Seriously accurate: Kart, Day, Marvel in that order...Kart and Day are no longer made but worth finding if you're patient and feeling a little spendy. I have a Kart and it's an effin' laser beam.

Minute of beer can: Everything else. Seriously avoid Ciener, major arsehole with customer service and currently under indictment, iirc. Ciener also private labels for a number of companies, I'm thinking Kimber may be one of them but not 100% sure.

Tactical Solution have the lock back on last round as well.
It' expensive (mags are expensive too), but it is quality.

Consider the GSG/SIG 1911-22, most economical way.

I have a Marvel Unit 2 with no lock-back option. It is a lot more accurate than my old Kimber unit probably due to the fact that you can "lock" a barrel in using the guide rod. It prefers CCI mini mags per recommendation from Marvel however, so I am hanging on to the 1600 rounds of CCIs I currently have until CCI can make more.

I also have an Advantage Arms unit for my Glock 17 and it is dead on accurate as well with lock-back feature. Flawless again with CCI Mini mags.
If I were to do it over again I may have waited for the Advantage Arms 1911 kit because I realized I like the lock-back feature.

I run my Marvel Unit 1 with Federal 525 bulk pack and it functions very well with it; it's all I use. I use the metal magazines from Marvel and some from my old Colt Ace. Accuracy-wise my Unit 1 came with a .74"" 5 shot 50 yard target shot from a rest. The Unit 1 is much more accurate and reliable than my Colt Ace was over a long range session; the floating chamber of the Colt conversion fouls fairly early on.

I have the hybrid rail so I can mount optics on it when I want. If thats not important and you prefer the slide lock on empty than the new Marvel unit sold by Nighthawk would be worth a look imho.

Thanks for all the help guys! After looking at all the options I think I'm going to go with advantage arms target model (the standard model i think has a longer wait). Seems to be the best mix of accuracy and price. Although I really want the marvel unit 1. I can't really afford to drop 450+ on a 1911 upper lol. I was thinking about getting the gsg 1911 22lr but i really don't want to go through all the hassle of dros and the 10 day wait especially for a 22 lol. Thanks again for all the help guys!

I have a fixed sight Ciener and love it. Both machined and plastic Kimber magazines run 100% for me with bulk ammo.
