What year did HK stop making the P7M8?

What was the last year they made it? Are they going to start again?

I've seen some with the AH so they were still made as of 2007. I have one with an AG date stamp so that is a 2006 made one.

Depends on which "last 500" you're referring to.

I think I am going to wait a while to buy one, since they are the ever-lasting gob stopper of guns. They have been discontinued since like 1998 or something yet they keep on putting them out there. I bet prices will drop. What do you guys think?

I have a P7 (PSP) that I got in 1984 for $250. It was one of the used German Police pistols. It still shoots great.

I'd be alert for another police sale. I'm currently waiting for a P6/225. The Germans seem to want to sell their cop guns to we gun-hungry Americans.

I guess you can still find a commercial P7M8 out there but you'll pay a premium price. The P7 is really one of the best personal defense handguns ever designed, IMHO.

Are you trying to say there only going to get even more expensive?

              Yes.
For some reason, discontinued H&K handguns made before the 90s, seem to go up in value as time goes by.

Even with the German shipments coming in? And why is this gun still on the CA gun approved list if it is discontinued?

Should I scrape together money and buy one now and shoot it and keep it as an investment? Money is kind of tight right now, I was going to buy a 1911, but this is just as nice and cool. Given what I am hearing I should buy the P7.

There are thousands of P7M8s out there. Get one before it drops off the list.

Okay, I will save up money (and do more research) for a 1911 next year, whats the cheapest I can get a P7M8 for? I don't care about those stupid warnings that everyone makes a big deal about - it does not matter to me. What would be a good price for one that isn't going to give me problems?

Give CDNN a call. I think they have some in stock and they have great prices.

I've heard conflicting reports about whether they'll ship to CA, but the gentleman I've never heard them say that before.

You can call CDNN but they have told me that they will not sell handguns to CA. They did for a brief while months back but quickly stopped.

If you talk with them and they start selling again that would be good to know. Most folks have been getting police trade-ins of the PSP so that may be what CDNN has. Only the P7M8 is on the list though. I wish the PSP was on the list. I've seen them go for around $550. It would be nice to pick one up at that price.
