I apologize, I am still a little confused. So can I buy a gun online that is not on the roster and have it shipped to an Ffl in CA, or does the gun have to be on the roster? Thanks for being patient with me guys

Has to be on roster, unless you're law enforcement.

I just talked to target master and I guess it is the all black one. I was hoping to get a black and silver one like many of the other m&p guns but maybe those aren't legal in CA.

California legal S&W 15-22 is model #122002. Non threaded barrel and 10 round magazine.

15-22 is the rifle. Though the code you gave #122002 is the right number for the pistol.

OP, I don't believe there is a silver/black version. Pretty sure all are all black.

You need to get the 10rd, non-threaded version. If you call a bunch of places you'll likely find one locally, which will save you on the FFL fees if you have one shipped.

Not sure if you have a Turner's up there, but they often have them in stock. The problem is going to be magazines. Right now if you want to get a second magazine you're going to have to pay $100+. Hopefully in a couple months stores will get them in stock. For that reason you may want to consider a Ruger SR22. Similar, but likely a little easier to find, and certainly less expensive when you factor in magazines.

Silver and black 22 pistol might be the Sig Mosquito. they have two tone and reverse two tone. The Smith & Wesson M&P will be Black
