Need the scoop on Sig 1911

    45 ACP.

I'm a fan of 45 ACP and use a Sig 220 as my primary range toy. I have a chance to pick up a new 1911 in 45.

    Any reviews from current owners?

Outstanding pistol for the money; there are several good choices in that price range, but for the money, the SIG may be the best.

I have had several outstanding match performances from my plain-jane XO; I trust it completely.

      Cheers,

Love my Scorpion. But then again I love all my guns! Lol... Haven't had one issue and is very accurate. All of my buddies enjoy shooting it. Eats every ammo I've fed her with no problems at all. Smooth trigger and great feel to it. Paid $995. Not sure what they're going for now. You won't be disappointed. Good luck

I have the XO model and like it a lot. It's more accurate than I am and has been feed a steady diet of different ammo. It has ate everything I've fed it.

I have the nitron rail and it's been great. I shoot cheap tulammo and it's been reliable. Very aggressive front strap checkering but you get used to it. For the price you can't beat it. I got the Nitron Rail for a 1000 bucks. Ain't the best price but you get a 1911 with a rail, night sights, front strap checkering and great looks.

The Sig 1911 is one of the best class 1911's I've shot. Tolerances are really tight so there's no "slop" and clanking.
Just avoid CCI aluminum-cased rounds that are out of spec (ie too fat)

I have a TTT and a Scorpion. Both have been terrific.

My SIG Platinum Elite 1911 is my favorite gun to shoot. Would love to shoot a high end 1911 like a Wilson or Nighthawk to feel the difference.

Put the first 50 through my Sig Tacpac rail today. And I'm in love. The gun was dead on, recoil was easily managed and the trigger was crisp and a lot lighter than I expected. I paid $989 plus fees/tax. Like my friend who advised me to get one (also a calgunner) I have no problem suggesting a Sig 1911 to anyone. If you find one you like buy it DO IT!

I prefer to shoot my Sig 1911 than my SA MC Operator.
