I'd like to have one again, just can't find one. All the LGS in Fresno are out. One had in stock but wanted 699, total OTD was $784. I passed on that one.

    I have a Gen 3 rtf2 Glock 17 that I'd trade for a Gen3 G19............

Yes the 1911 has been around a long time. But hard to spot overseas. And .45ACP is not a popular round outside the America's.

The GLOCK 19 (and 17) are plentiful all around the world.

It's best to own a few of each. Including the 1911....

Fewer people are killed with all rifles each year (323 in 2011) than with shotguns (356), hammers and clubs (496), and hands and feet (728).

Saw a GEN4 Glock 19 for sale at $625. It sold fast. Add in tax and DROS and you can see why the price jump to $710 out-the-door.

This GLOCK shortage and the possibility that GLOCK is going to take months to catch up including staying on the Approved List.....has GLOCKs up in price about $100 bucks more than normal....

One of my adult kids from Texas says the same thing at his favorite Gun Stores....nothing in stock and inflated prices for everything.

We will wait this one out folks......

actually, the 1911 are not very hard to spot overseas due to the wars wherein the US participated in. they can be found in lots of war museums and have lots of variants manufactured in spain, korea, germany, thailand, china, uk, greece, vietnam, laos, cambodia and of course the philippines. in fact, the cz brand is more popular in asia than the glocks because it is cheaper.

I'll keep looking, hopefully find a nice used one for a decent price. Not in a hurry, and I think there are plenty floating around right now, just gotta find someone who wants to get rid of one. It will happen, patience...

It took me 4 months to get my FDE Gen 4 17 and gen 4 21 and that was before the craze. Luckily I bought my lady a gen 4 19 they had in stock at the time. I was told by the blue label dealer Glock was close to 500k behind on manufacturing.

Not sure where you are located, but a buddy of mine is selling his gen 3 21 for a reasonable price. Only 100 rounds through it. If interested PM me (Finders fee of some .223 should suffice lol)

The pawn shop in Moreno Valley, I went to on Thursday had all brand new Glocks. I was at Bass Pro yesterday and by luck I scored a ruger 10/22. As I doing the paper work on it .We talked about how crazy its been. And he told me people are going to have to wait about a year and a half to get glocks. So keep looking they are out there. Find it buy it . Goodluck

You'll have to be both patient and vigilent.

The only Glocks appearing in the next couple years will be from those gun shops and FFL's that had orders already in the pipeline before the insanity hit. As those trickle in you need to be ready to pounce. Blue Label dealers will likely get inventory first.

If you're willing to accept a Gen 3, the big box stores will be your best bet. Since they are high volume customers for Glock and Glock wants to keep them happy, they will get preferential treatment when allocating.

Your radar and Google-Fu should be finely tuned.

I need to find the article again, but there's been estimated over 5 million 1911's reportedly produced worldwide while Glock has produced over that amount a few years ago per their annual magazine.

If you lived in San Diego

You could try out Hillcrest Pawnbrokers. They alway seem to have a good selection of firearms. They also do transfer of guns you buy on the Internet.

What's the point of getting a g19 when there is no ammo. You'd be better off getting a baseball bat or a set of Ginsu knives.
