    beretta 92fs range report!

I finally had some time to make it out to the range today. I've put about 800rds through it, since i bought it in dec 2012, with zero problems (I haven't had much free time working and going to school full time). I still need to work on my grip and trigger control but it is getting better! Anyway, here's my targets from today.

    50rds at 15ft

    50rds at 21ft

Notice all your misses are low and left, somewhere on the web awhile back i saw a sample of targets with bullet placement that tells you why you are missing low and left. If i can find it i'll let you know, it may have been on the XD forum. I own a 92FS, it's a great pistol.

The first 600 were right before the ammo panic started.

Good shooting. 92fs seems to have fallen out of favor with the interweb gunfighters, but I still like mine. It is a good looking gun too. Granted that first double action pull is a long hard mile, but Wolf springs help a lot and have resulted in zero FTFs. I would trust my life with mine.

800 rounds! Well I guess that gun is now broken in. Look into putting in a 92 D hammer spring into the gun. It reduces the pull of the DA and is probably the biggest single improvement you can do to a 92FS. You can also get the spring in 16# from Wolff, or you can try lighter spring weight but risk light primer strikes.

I shoot other pistols better, but it's a matter of ergonomics that some other guns fit me better, it's not the issue that the gun is not accurate.
