    Gp100 3"

Is $719 before tax and dros to much right now for a GP100 3" SS?

Too much. Closer to $500 the better. I've seen used ones sell for $400is. See them on sale for high $500 brand new. Admittedly, these are usually for the 4" and 6" models. The 3" models are rarer but not enough to justify what you got quoted

It is a little high (compared to the "normal" market), but we are not in a normal market. It will be months (if ever), before things return to normal. If you want it, but it. They last so long your great great grand children will enjoy shooting it as much as you do.

San Bernardino. They had a Security Six too for $500. I would have bought one but I left it, figuring it was someone else's deal to be grabbed. I doubt they are still in stock, used guns tend to last about 15 minutes.

I've never seen a used stainless one for less than 450 -$500.last year.
The last time I saw one at Bass pro it was In the hi $600 to $700 range. If I remember correctly.
These were all 4" or 6". Buy it at that price.

New SS S&W 686 would be $800 range OTD at brick and mortar stores around here.

I recently got a 6" stainless GP100 for $325 at the same Turner's. They say their prices are pre-set.

That's almost exactly what I paid for my 4" SS 23 years ago. New.

That's why I notice the prices when I see one. Great deal for under $400.

I was looking for a new GP100 and found one of the 3" SS in my area. The dealer wanted MSRP ($729 IIRC). I came back a couple of days later and asked if that was the best he could do. He refused to offer a "discount" so I walked. A week later it was gone. I think he actually had two in the case and they both went at MSRP. This was maybe four weeks back. Crazy times.

They used to sell for $550'ish...now my local FFL's can't even find a GP100 anywhere with their suppliers. Obviously people are going to want a premium with no supply. The handgun panic has spread to revolvers...

Saw a 4-in blued one 2 weeks ago for $625-ish (can't remember th exact price) + tax + DROS. Maybe that's a good reference point for you. And for reference, it was gone after a day or two...

With the craze going on, "too much" seems to be a relative term. I've seen $500 guns pre-craze get snatched up for $750 right now... The question is, "how badly do you want this piece?" That will determine whether waiting in hopes of a price drop (which is not a guarantee) is worthwhile.

                              Good luck!
