    Python est. market value

    All,
Looking for some help on what current market value is for a 4"blue Python. less than a 1000 rounds. a little blue off at end of barrel otherwise in great shape. Can't remember but think its from early 70's. no box or papers, black grip. Ive only shot if two or three times. thanks

I would think around 1500 if you wanted a really fast sale, or closer to the 2000 range if you don't mind sitting on it for a while waiting for the right buyer

Without the original grip and with blueing wear I'd be thinking a lot closer to 1.2k depending upon condition. But maybe you'll find a buyer that doesn't know that missing the original grip is a $300 deduct.

missed the part about the grip, redcliff is probably more accurate. I still think it would be closer to 1.3 or 1.4k in this market though

You very well could be right; the Python market is crazy. Glad I got my three when I did

$1.2k to $1.5k sounds about in the range of what I've seen thus far... When are you planning to sell? Timing is key...

Let's see the cylinder wear. If it has a nice line through the bluing towards the back of the cylinder it's not Guna command a higher price.
