      Google is your friend

The first few generations of Glock mags have a U shaped notch in the back where the bolt strips the round from the mag

The U mags are not fully lined with steel. So they get a bit fatter and expand when loaded.

The factory ones work fine but they will not drop free from the gun when loaded and might or might not drop free when empty

Do a google search on glock magazine versions and you will find many pictures / threads on the different generations of magazine body's, followers, etc and how to idendify them
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

I have a few cheap pre-ban XXXX brand Glock 19 mags that don't have the metal lining. You can definitely tell that they are cheaper but they work for range mags.

I would by the metal lined mags.

I have one non-FML mag. It bulges when full . Makes it difficult to load into gun.
Needless to say, that mag sits in the bottom back of my gunsafe as i never use it.
