    New gun in jail

A few weeks ago I picked up a Rossi R92 ... The Lever gun chambered in .357/38 spl.. 16 " barrel in SS...

PROBLEM: I bought some cheap .357 ammo that would not chamber..

SOLUTION: Buy a wheel gun to use that ammo....besides..what self respecting gun owner wouldn't have a rifle and pistol in the same caliber...right?

So this is what I got.... Pretty happy with it... S&W 27-2 ... Unfired so as NIB... still has all the original paperwork and tools... I can't wait to send in the 40 year old warranty registration! :-)

Sexy. One day I will own a wheel gun. And it will be a S&W 686.

I am looking forward to shooting the S&W!

The R92 or M92 (as described on the box), really is a sweet gun... Both will shoot 357 Magnum or 39 spl. The carbine, when shooting 38 spl is like a 22LR. Chamber the 357 Magnums and make that gong sing!

I would have gone with a Ruger Vaquero instead of the S&W only beause it would be a better match in terms of style.

I looked at the Ruger but disliked the loading gate. Maybe one of those is next.

You know how many guns a guy needs, right?

One more than he has got!

                  Correct sentiment!

My dad has a 44 magnum lever action. I shot it at the range once. After being kicked in the shoulder about 4 times, I realized I didn't need to keep shooting it. A 357 lever action has always been on my list of 100 guns I need to buy.
