Check the internet reviews and most of them are very good.

Got mine last month from Direct Action Solutions, but haven't gone to the range yet. SSE was easy, the wait was the hard part.

I came really close to buying one through PPT here. But I did a lot of looking and reading and I've read nothing but good stuff. Only thing that stopped me was I found a loaded 1911 for a hell of a deal and didn't enough for both.

Brother picked one up. It is smooth as butter, love the flat trigger on it and the fit and finish is awesome.
For what you get on the Scorpion models its alot of bang for your buck.
I cant wait to run a few rounds through it.

I just bought one through EBRworks. Still waiting to pick it up though so can't comment on the function. It looked really sweet in person, and I've read a lot of good reviews.

I was thinking about going to ebr works but that's a far ride for me. Is there anyone near riverside co area that does sse guns?

I have one and it is terrific. Great trigger and very accurate.

I got one around mid December. The SSE was not a big deal. It's the most accurate of the 1911s I own. Nice workmanship. It is sensitive to SWC bullets. I think that's due to a tighter chamber than my others. But that's what makes it more accurate. All factory stuff has cycled flawless. The only thing I don't like are the night sites. They are great in dim or dark conditions, but in sunlight they are not as bright as the white painted ones. But, that's the way night sites are.

You don't list your location, so I don't know if EBR works for you, but I got my scorpion from them. They are really good people. That even gave me free tickets to a hula show, cuz my wife was into it...no kidding.

I think sig uses a grease rather than an oil on their guns. I shot a bunch of reloads through it, and they must've been pretty dirty, because the action got pretty gummy, and I had a lot of FTF problems. I ended up wasting a box of federal guard dog ammo testing it out. I have since cleaned it and it seems to be working well, now. So I recommend either removing all the grease once you get it and replace it with lower viscosity gun oil, or just clean it after the first few boxes you shoot.

They are not on the roster. You could have them via SSE or PPT from a person who has them already.

Your interpretation is wrong. If they're not on the list, it means that the sale of them is regulated. It doesn't mean the ownership of them is illegal.

I pick mine up from EBR on Tuesday I can't wait. I even bought a matching 226 Scorpion that will be in jail after my 30 days are up. These guns are absolutely beautiful. I'll let you know how mine shoot. Seems like the reviews are awesome.

It's a very smooth gun. Good trigger and very accurate. I take it to the range all the time and my buddies love shooting it.
