    Final Decision Time

    EDIT

I have more options to choose from than I thought. Now, even .45ACP is on my list. However, from the poll, looks like I'll be getting a .45ACP in a Sig or Smith & Wesson offering.

I voted for the Sig P226. Have you ever shot a DAK before? Most people I know either love it or hate it.

I do not know why a person would buy a Ruger...the owner of the company cannot think of a reason why a regular type Joe would have a need for more than 10 round magazine capacity. I do realize that this has nothing to do with the quality of the gun they make...but gun manufacturers should be part of the pro-gun community and resist all anti-gun right/liberty proposals.

S&W sold out to at one time. Now they are under new ownership. But I have not bought any S&W products over these issues.

Sig may not be so great in similar ways. But I do not know of any particular compromise they have made with the gun grabbers. I have 5 Sigs, P239, P226, P220, P220R and GSR. They all shoot to point of aim accurately and have no problems with jamming.

I vote for the P226 also. M&P 2nd on the list.

Nice racks are much better. You can grab both sides of the rack to help stabilize while mounting.

I voted for the 226, but if I were you, I'd take a look at Heckler and Koch. I know the superb P30 isn't CA legal, but the P2000 is a damned fine weapon. Do a google search for Greg Bell & "break my" and see how he abused the P2k to no ill effect.

Depending on the size of your hand, the USP9 or USP Compact in 9 might be a viable alternative, too. Comparable in price to the Sig IIRC.

I wish you would have put the option for "None of the above". You could honestly do a lot better than that.. But if you are set with those options, I voted for the p226...

I was under the impression that the SR9 is not California legal.

Also, for around the same price of the SIGs, don't forget to look into a Glock 34

                              ...and a P2000.
