    PUMA...i think?

i have been in the market for a single action revolver chambered in 44 mag or 45 C/LC. i recently saw one that i liked but didnt recognize the name so i passed on it. anyone ever hear of Puma and are they any good? i cant find too much info on them and wanted to get some opinions. i would Love to have a ruger vaquero but they dont appear to be on the CA list of approved handguns. it looked exactly like this one but made by Puma....i think... can anyone shed some light?

Dimensionally compliant single-action revolvers are exempt from the "unsafe handgun" laws. [PC 32100(a)]
Which is why they are not listed on the Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale.

    Therefore...
Any single-action revolver that meets the following requirements are exempt:
    1. minimum ammo capacity of 5 rounds
    2. barrel length of 3" or greater
    3. overall length of 7.5" or greater

The single-action revolver exemption exists because of cowboy action shooting groups that supported the "unsafe handgun" bill, which created the Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale.

    Penal Code 32100
    (a) Article 4 (commencing with Section 31900) and Article 5 (commencing with Section 32000) shall not apply to a single-action revolver that has at least a five-cartridge capacity with a barrel length of not less than three inches, and meets any of the following specifications:
    (1) Was originally manufactured prior to 1900 and is a curio or relic, as defined in Section 478.11 of Title 27 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
    (2) Has an overall length measured parallel to the barrel of at least seven and one-half inches when the handle, frame or receiver, and barrel are assembled.
    (3) Has an overall length measured parallel to the barrel of at least seven and one-half inches when the handle, frame or receiver, and barrel are assembled and that is currently approved for importation into the United States pursuant to the provisions of paragraph (3) of subsection (d) of Section 925 of Title 18 of the United States Code.
