GLOCK 19, Does anyone have...

A Glock 19 Gen 3, and a Glock 19 Gen 4? If you do have both, what are the major differences, and which one do you prefer or like better? I have a Gen 3, I love it, but am very tempted to also buy a Gen 4, when hell is not frozen over. Appreciate the feedback gunners

The gen4 mag release fits perfect with my thumb and the grip texture lets me get a more comfortable, solid grip (using medium back straps). I know this is subjective, but just giving my personal experience. I haven't scratched either model up yet, but read that the gen4's finish isn't as durable. (My gen3 has the older/darker slide). Hope this helps any - i prefer gen4 and will be selling my gen3 soon. Something I thought I'd never do.

The Gen 4 has an ambidextrous mag release, RTF frame with removable back straps, and a dual recoil spring... I knew glocks were dishwasher safe

I've had a Gen 2,3,4 and prefer the ergonomics of the Gen 4 and it has been the most precise Glock I've owned at 25 yards so far.

I had a gen 3, sold it and got a gen 2. Although the finish is better on a gen 3 the gen 2 feel better in the hands. I've never really shot a gen 4 yet.

I have a Gen3 and a Gen4. I prefer the grip of the Gen4. It fits my hand better than the Gen3. I also think the Gen4 mag release is a bit easier to work with.

I have a gen 4 and it doesn't fit my hand too well. If I grip high and the web of my hand is on top of the backstrap, then the bottom digs into my palm and create less contact to the grip. If I grip lower then my palm have a better contact with the grip but creates a small gap between the top of my hand web and the the top of the backstrap.

The problem is that is no curve on the grip. I am looking at my CZ and the top portion and the bottom portion of the grip is slimmer so I can get a much better grip and feels a lot more comfortable. My hand web can wrap around the top of the backstrap. I wear medium size glove so may be that's why Glock doesn't fit me as well.

I have a USA (yes, all USA made) gen 3, and it fits my hand just right, and shoots great. Good luck.

If Glock can take the Gen2 frame with the Gen 4 texture and custom back straps it would be the perfect Glock!!!
Maybe Gen5 will have it.

I love my Gen4, it fits perfect in the hand (minus the finger groves) and so far runs like a champ!

i have gen 3 and gen 4 19s and i like the gen4 wayyyyyy better
