Please help with Escow Information

Can someone please provide me with a reputable escrow company to use for a handgun sale? I want to purchase an out of state firearm, but want to put the money in escrow to make sure of the deal. Never done this before and could use some help.

if you find an out of state seller willing to sell you a gun and have it shipped to CA, you may want to make it convenient for them. most people don't want to deal with sending to CA. if you're requesting to setup an escrow, you may scare off your seller.

pistolpay.com was launched to do exactly what you want. It just started up last year so I don't know how successful they will be. With people gunshy after the gunpal fiasco, I think many people are just sitting back and watching before they use it.

Just send a money order. If they scam you they are committing mail fraud.

In addition to the escrow fee if there is a escrow like company that does firearms transactions, you must factor in that you will be required to pay taxes that is collected by the FFL when you DROS it.

There is an escrow company listed on gunbroker.com -- however, they will not serve CA. (I have no idea why.)

I'd just find a seller that has good feedback or has an FFL.
