    S&W 1911 Commander LA/OC?

Anyone know where to find a S&W Commander 1911 in the LA and OC area? Turners doesn't carry the commanders any more, they still have the full size.

Don't know what their current inventory is, but Martin B Rettings in Culver City is a big stocking distributor for Smith and Wesson. I know they are one of the biggest Springfield dealers in the country as well.

    HTH!

      Retting

Thanks, SV. Was gonna head over there this weekend, and check them out. Last time I was there, they had a big selection, but their prices weren't the best?

      Thanks again.

You sure about that? They had the Gunsite edition at the Redondo Beach Turner's not too long back (~3 weeks?)

          EXCELLENT gun.

If you need to, contact a one of the site sponsors and order one. They still have $100 off rebate, I believe.

Yep. That gunsite model is probably the same one they've had the last 2 years. They're trying to sell of existing stock, but stop carrying it last year I believe.

Since S&W has the $100 rebate, I was thinking nows a good time to pick one up ;-)

I think it depends on what you look at. Their XD45's are ~$30-50 cheaper than anywhere else I've seen locally. Stuff that they buy in quantity, I think their prices are better. I was looking at the TRP's for a while and I know they were $100+ less than anything else I saw around (I'm talking that you can walk in and buy).

You find sales on stuff from time to time for better prices at places like Turners, but generally for any day walk in and buy, they are usually $20+/- from most places. Personally, I don't even mind if it costs me an extra $20, just to make sure they don't go anywhere. B&B is long gone, Pony Express.....there just aren't many dedicated firearms shops with people that know what they are talking about left anymore. If the person you are talking to doesn't have an answer for you, they ask someone else who does. I support them just to make sure they stick around....
