Exactly what it says, double action only. The trigger cocks back and releases the hammer, no option for single action.Sandstorm Custom Rifle Slings : Custom Paracord slings

Huh? Its still a semi auto gun, just the trigger pull cocks back the hammer and releases it. The slide does not cock the hammer back during cycling.Sandstorm Custom Rifle Slings : Custom Paracord slings

Yeah, OK. How about this then. Let's call the "semi-auto" hand gun "Self loading" instead.
You need to rack the slide to chamber the first round.
When you pull the DA trigger, it brings the hammer back, then releases it and fires the gun.
The slide movement is part of the self loading aspect. After the shot, the gun is exactly as it was before you pulled the trigger.
In other words imagine that the gun just reloads it's chamber after each shot, but doesn't cock the hammer for you.
Make sense?==================

Remember to dial 1 before 911.
Forget about stopping power. If you can't hit it, you can't stop it.

DA on a semi just means that when you pull the trigger the hammer pulls back and goes forward to fire a round. The slide then cycles in a new round and the hammer is back to its' original state which is forward.
Here's a good video on the difference of SA, DA and SA/DA.
