Ruger MKII- disassembly fun?

Like others have said, it just takes a little practice to work on these. I don't totally dissasemble mine after every use. .22 ammo is dirty and a few blasts of Gun Scrubber takes care of it nicely. Then a few drops of BreakFree finishes the job.

Yeah my mark III is very finicky to reassemble. That whose thing about pointing the gun straight up to get the trigger assembly in just right is nuts. I have to watch that ruger video each time.

easy as pie once you get the a technique down for re installing the mainspring i can break one down and back together with no more then a paper clip in nothing flat ... you may also want to look at making one of these

I had the lower mainspring pin drift to the side and catch on the inside of the grip frame. Much profanity came from that little bit of inspiration.

I later put one of the Volquartsen alloy grips on a 10 inch MKII, scratches if you fart in it's general direction.

Although I thought that these were stupid for the longest time, I've come to accept that sometimes a better idea comes along now and then. Improved the trigger a bit as well.

Thanks all for the tips and video links! Have checked them out and will consult the next time I attempt the field strip. I love this crowd!
