I've got around 400-ish rounds through my full size. I've been very satisfied so far. SSE through Direct Action Solutions.

It's first range trip one of the staff proceeded to rip a small hole center bull at 10+ish yards so it's more accurate than I am. Been very reliable so far with a few different brands of magazines with ball & SWC ammo. The white dot sights are great and seem to be dead nuts from the factory.

Hate to say it but I think my RIA FS Tactical is put together tighter than the Ruger. The grip safety on the Ruger rattles and has noticable side to side movement. Not an issue from a function standpoint. It doesn't pinch me or anything. The slide on the Ruger also has some wiggle on the frame. Doesn't seem to affect accuracy though.

The trigger on the Ruger is OK but the RIA Tactical is better. Mind, the RIA has a few K rounds through it and the Ruger isn't really broken in yet.

One issue I consider major is the mag catch. The squarish profile & mega stiff spring tend to force the magazine rearward and an opening in the back of the magwell catches & takes a bite out of the rim of the top round in the magazine. Sometimes it actually prevents inserting the magazine. Not good.

I've deburred the bottom of the catch. That helped. Hopefully the spring will soften with use (it is REALLY strong) or I will take a bit of length off of it. What really needs to be done is a slight chamfer on the piece of frame that's biting the cartridge rim and maybe a change of profile on the catch itself. It's pretty square & rough compared to the RIA.

For just over $600 base price it's a steal. A stainless American made 1911 backed by Ruger's customer service? No brainer.
At right around $800 with taxes, fees & shipping I still believe it's a decent value.

It's also a handsome weapon. Maybe not stunning like a DW but they've kept the slide clean and the warning is a couple of small lines laser etched on the underside of the dust cover. The slide sports a simple small "Ruger Made in USA" on the left side & a small Ruger logo on the right side. Nice.

I still have to when I read that, lol. Then again, this is Ruger's first 1911 so I'm sure following generations will just get better. Actually my RIA 'Tac is tight; I'm not sure if this was a fluke run on that particular model or if they typically make them this way. I have to say that I was surprised to find it that way; I thought it would be "combat loose," or something.

I just went to the website the website and saw this gun for the first time. Looks good and when are they going to get a railed version?
The liberal see's the glass as half full and tries to take more.
The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.
I'm with the people on the side just pouring water in the glass trying to get a drink!

They're selling all the FS can make right now. I was kinda surprised to see a Commander size already.

I'd like a Commander. They are in short supply at the moment and easily selling over MSRP where available.
