    AMT45ACP back up

A friend was having some money problems so he offered to sell me his AMT 45 acp back up for cheap. Thing has never been fired. There is a few scratches along the slide due to it sitting in his safe. On the mobile site now so I can't post pics will do as soon as I'm home.

Very heavy for it's size and is not pleasant to shoot, but it does the job it was designed for. Be careful if you have big thumbs. I still have a scar across the top of my knuckle where the slide got me.

I am so damn jealous. I live in EKA and have been hunting for one of those for awhile.

P.S. If it doesn't work out for you, shoot me a PM. I'm sure we could work something out.

Have always wanted one. I have a Backup .380 in DAO and I like it. Good looking pistols.

heavy, super heavy and long trigger pull (18-20lbs iirc), have to hold it realllly firm for it to function. good luck with anything other than fmj.

you couldn't find a worse handgun for the wife. really an airweight 357 would be a better choice for her.

I've got one, and I love the thing. It's so damn small and it feeds HP ammo fine. It was (maybe still is?) the smallest production semi-auto .45ACP in the world. Very cool.

If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.

I've also wanted one for a long time. I have one of the original OMC (pre AMT) 380 Back Ups and would love to have an AMT .45 Back Up DA to go with it!

My wife is hardier than most men I know. She lived in the woods most of her adult life. She can handle my friends 44 mag pretty damn well

I hated my super unreliable .380 Back Up. Hope yours is more reliable than mine was, especially if its the wife's bedside gun. Please run lots of ammo through it before putting it into service!
