357 Sig Ammo

Anyone can confirm that 357 sig ammo cost that much more on average that Ive read alot of people claim while researching a Glock 357 and the 40S&W. I checked some online stores and notice only about a 10 cent differnce per round some places the 357 sig ammo was actaully cheaper than the 40 same brand, line and qty. Only thing I can think of is maybe this is just as of recent with those more popular calibers are now in higher demand and sell faster so the prices are balancing out perhaps?

When I owned my G32 a box of .357 Sig would cost $23.00 a box of fifty. WWB.
Price then went up. I had a hard time finding ammo for it without the rush. So when I ran into a box I would buy one. Figure a box of fifty .40cal is less than $20.00 . Funny thing was two weeks ago I was in Walmart and they were sold out of most ammo,but had 6 boxes of .357 sig. I had to laugh!

I liked the round overall. JMO

I don't know, IMO all of those prices are ridiculous. A few years ago I was buy bulk .40 for $0.27/rd., about $13.50/50rds. Even then, I decided it was time to start reloading, and I've never looked back...

In the good old days (ha) 357sig was more. Now, as you mentioned, the paranoid idiots masses are buying up everything in-sight. So prices of more common calibers have spiked. It's a niche caliber. Not too many believers.
