M&P Shield

Hello, fellow Calgunners! Tax refund time is soon and my dad is looking to buy a conceal carry gun. I recommended the M&P shield or M&P compact if he wants a double stack. Does anyone know of any shops in Nor Cal with either of these guns in stock so he can check them out? Sacramento/Tahoe area if possible.

I hope you do, but good luck finding one in the entire United States. They are extremely hard to come by these days. Gunbroker has a ton of them, but they're selling for about $650 + shipping + out of state transfer fee + SSE (given you can find a shop that has the equipment to SSE one). There are a few of us on here that we're lucky enough to get one, and they are amazing little guns. Good luck to you.

Thanks! Yeah that is definitely an issue. Im hoping we can find one as well. He may end up buying in NV and doing a SSE? not entirely sure yet. If we cant find one in CA, I can always buy one for him here in Nevada and then give it to him since we are related but I am having no luck finding one here either

In sac river city gun exchange is the only one i know that has M&P c 9mm & .40 but no shield...

I brought mine home yesterday-very pleased and very lucky to get one from a gunstore where I have never purchased anything before.

Yeah I shoulda changed the title to m&p 9c or m&p 40c :P

I had no idea the shield was so hard to find!

Anyone got any leads on CA compliant 40c or 9c? Called river city exchange but no answer I'll keep trying though!

i was at city arms @ pacifica yesterday to DROS my full sized m&p9. i am pretty sure i saw a m&p40c in their shelf... grab it while u can!

I did search but clearly not in the right places. I am living in Reno NV and have seen a few M&P shields in stores. These obviously are not the CA variant and I did not realize that the CA variant is practically nonexistent.
