10 day wait question?

I did a PPT on 1/27/13 so my purchase is still in the 10 day waiting mode til this coming tuesday 2/5/13.

Question is, can I do another ppt today 2/3/13 or do I need to wait 2 more days before I can make another handgun purchase? Thanks

Correct. The PPT is an exception to the "one handgun DROS per 30 days" rule.

Unless you are PPTing it in a municipality which has it's own local ord. against it (LA City is one example), you can PPT as often as you can afford to.

Call your local gun store, I'm aware of 2x's that the counter person at a local gun store had not allowed this to take place. It's easier to call ahead and save yourself some frustration. Yes it is legal. But Calgunner's knowledge far exceed's that of most people behind the counter in most cases. Agian perfectly legal.

My local dealer just told me no I couldn't do it. I tried to fight it but as soon as no was put out there that was it..

While no limitation exists for the number of handguns that you may own, you are generally limited to purchasing no more than one handgun in any 30-day period. Handgun transactions related to law enforcement, private party transfers, returns to owners, and certain other specific circumstances are exempt from the one-handgun-per-30-day limit.

You can legally PPT as much as you want unless local/city prohibits it (such as LA). I remember reading the law before and it specifically stated that PPT was exempt from 1 in 30.

I've found that some places like to tell you anything to have you not do a PPT since they are only making 10 dollars for "so much" paper work.
