357 Sig in USP fullsize

I take it this is not very feasible if there's no conversion barrels. I do remember one online vendor selling them, but can't seem to find it now.

Is it a feeding issue trying to use the .40 full size mags with the .357 round?

Jarvis pulled their conversion barrels; I believe Bar-Sto as well. Not sure about others.

The issue apparently involves the HK USP40 fullsize mag not feeding 357Sig rounds properly - may be a feed angle issue, something not correctable with just a follower replacement or mag replacement but instead is an overall architectural matter.

I've asked H&K reps at the last 2 SHOT Shows about plans for a fullsize USP357, or a 357 conversion kit for USP40s. The usual "we're looking into it" is always given, along with a blank stare. One ex-cop (HK LE sales guy) turned on his "HK is God" attitude and asked why I would even believe aftermarket reports, that you should never use aftermarket parts in HKs, that warranties would be voided, that if HK wanted to build a USP357 they could, and that even if you used a 357Sig aftermarket conversion bbl, HK mags weren't a problem.

So as much as I'd like a USP357 or a conversion bbl, I'm not gonna go for one even if I could find one that exists. When smart guys like Jarvis and BarSto - who know a lot about getting guns working in other calibers - back off, I will too.

If you want a lo-cost 357Sig synthetic pistol, take a look at the SigPro (or its newly-named variant). Very accurate. I had one - got it on sale @ Trader's for $359 back in 1999 - and sold it because I wasn't using it, a decision I regret.
