Glock 21SF

I see Glock 21SF's retail online for ~$550. Yet the 21SF's in the private marketplace seem to always be listed in the $850 range.

Am I missing something? Glocks are in no danger of being banned, why are people expecting more than retail for them?

hmmm, that wasn't the question. I was wondering where the marked up prices for the G21SF was coming from? If I am missing something (gen3 vs gen4?) I'd like to know.

So far in my brief online research I'm not finding a valid reason for the Bay Area premium.

I don't believe you are going to find a valid reason. It is just the way the market is right now. A lot of panic about the unknown is driving the frenzy.

You will find one for a descent price, just be patient.

I saw a new G21 SF at the bullet barn a couple of day ago for $589.

Nice people inside and the owner (a long range shooter) refuses to gouge customers.
