Went to the range today to shoot my P226 Stainless. This is my first Sig Sauer. I was not impressed in the beginning. I was shooting Speers Lawman, Federal red box and Winchester white box. I got a total of three FTF. Two from the Federal and one from the Lawman. All the FTF was within 50 rounds of 150 rounds total that I shot. I never got one FTF from the Winchester white box. Interesting. The last 50 rounds was smooth as butter. The trigger was very controllable even in double action. The extra weight of the stainless helped to control the muzzle flip of the 40 S&W. I found that I had better control if I placed my trigger finger closer to the joint than the center of the pad. I am impressed with my new Sig pistol. Very impressed.

I have the same gun, full stainess 40. I hated it first becuz it was very different from my other pistols. Very snappy recoil. I had to learn a whole aggressive grip to finally get the nice results.

Yup, those 10 round OEM mags are marginal, at best.

I fell in love with Sig many years ago and still carry them. The 40 was my first Sig and I still own it. One of my best guns that I own. Good buy.

Great looking gun! Mec-gar mags are great. I haven't had any issues with my OEM mags, so I wouldn't count them out just yet. That and mec-gar mags are beyond sold out right now, so you may have some trouble tracking them down.

As others have said, ditch those crap mags and get the Mecgars. Factory mags gave me problems also, slide would only lock back half the time, FTF, switched to Mecgars, zero problems.
