Lots of folks say they're reliable, I just never found them too exciting. I prefer Ruger's revolvers though. Can't go wrong with a 3" SP101 in .357.

I've heard they are reliable as well, but the looks just don't do it for me. Just like loosewreck, I prefer their revolvers over the semi auto pistols.

Just out of curiosity, which one shares mags with the carbines. That would be the only factor that would lead me to pick one of their pistols up. That is if I could track down the carbine.

Sorry to, hope I didn't high jack.

it's my understanding that magazines of the p-series autos will fit in the pc carbine of the same caliber. so the 9s or 40s, i don't think they ever made a pc45.

                Thanks for the info.
Yeah, I just googled PC45... No such thing. Too bad .45 would be cool.

                Sniper,
The Beretta CX4, thats a good idea too.

Last I saw, the CX4 was not CA legal. If that is incorrect, I'm happy. I love the 92, and being able to share mags with a carbine would be great.

I was worried it might be. Yeah, being a child of the '80, the 92 is definitely one on my list of "must haves", the carbine would have been a great incentive.

I got a couple of p series guns in 9mm both are about 5 years and thousands of rounds with no problem, not much to look at but very reliable.

The exception is the magazines were different for P85s and early P89s, and thus will not work in a PC9 or any P-series Ruger 9mm handgun (i.e. the SR9 is not included and uses its own magazines). Otherwise there is completely interchangeability within the same caliber between P series pistols and the Police Carbines (i.e. the .40 caliber PC4 magazines are interchangeable with all Ruger .40 pistols).

Overbuilt, uninspiring, rugged, reliable, average accuracy, strangely comfortable, and entirely satisfactory.

Best 45 Auto I have shot. Good accuracy. Has not jammed on me. Eats up ball and HP rounds. Very affordable.
