First handgun

I turned 21 on Sunday, and what better way to celebrate then buying a handgun. Turns out a lot of gun shops are closed on Sundays, but I did find one in Livermore. I went in wanting a 1911, left with an Springfield Armory XD45. I love the 1911s, but the XD felt better in my hands. (Plus the lack of 1911s helped my decision). And then traveling on my way home from Stockton I went to a gunshop and they had an XDM-45 magazine but I didn't know at the time the XD and the XDM magazines were interchangeable.

So, on to my question, what's a good brand of magazine to get for it? And what's the going price for XD45 10 round magazines?

That's a good idea. The XDM45 magazine was $32. Was that fair?

Midway sells it for 26 bucks + shipping. I think it fair if it is otd.

Congratulations! My buddy has an XD 45 - I like the fit and the safety features.

I had a .40 so it was pretty snappy, but still fun to shoot. I liked that it was very comfortable to hold because of the ergonomics. The trigger pull was kinda spongy and left much to be desired. Overall good gun though.

come on now, don't you know the rules here when you buy firearms? let me explain it again. HAHAH big congrats brother! XD's are awesome guns. I stick to factory only mags as well... Unless its for 1911's, theres a few after market companies that make superb mags but for the XD I would keep it factory. Post us some pics next time. Enjoy your new baby and congrats again brother
