    Help me choose 9mm compact

What are the top options for a 9mm compact pistol excluding Glock, XD, Sigma or M&P.

I handled a P225 and it felt good. I'd consider the P6 version if you guys who ordered one think they are good.

I also like the CZ P01 and CZ PCR but the PCR is not on the roster.

    What else is there?

    Thanks

If you like single stack 9s don't forget the Sig 239 (I love mine) or the Smith & Wesson 3913.

If you want super compact, don't forget the Kahr MK9. My neighbor across the street is a peace officer and carries one as his CCW when doing yard work. It's nice and very compact. Me I'd like a compact CZ or compact Witness. Oh! The EMP is so nice too, that will be my CCW given the chance.

I wouldn't consider any of the guns you listed to be truly "compacts."

It's always bothered me that designation. The P228/9, P225/P6 would both be quite difficult to conceal... to me, a good concealable piece is where compact begins.

I really like my P229R. It's probably my most favored non-1911 gun...

HK P2000 is an EXCELLENT choice
Kahrs are very nice and they're all compact
Baby Eagle (IMI) some people love, some hate... I like it
            P7M8
            EMP Springfield

                    Hi Saxman,
                    That's definitely a nice looking compact 9.

it's a wonderful gun that for some reason has a tendency to be often over looked in these sort of discussions. It's like an M&P that always works and is more comfortable.

I'll second the Walther P99c 9mm. Mine works flawlessly. Extremely accurate for such a short barrel.

+1 on the S&W 6904 or 6906, I love my 6906. Its a tank, I bought it used on consignment, Have put at least 1,500 rounds of all kinds of ammo, and never an FTF or FTE. and as a bonus they are beautiful.

I LOVE my mk9. In 9mm, it gives similar felt recoil to a .45 due to the small size. I was always a bit underwhelmed by 9mm, but in the small size of the mk9, it's perfect. It is heavy for its size since it is metal. it has a nice "push" rather than the "snap" found in other subcompacts. The elite trigger is long but REALLY smooth. I'd say my groupings are nearly as good as my full size XD. Price is the biggest factor that made me hesitant about purchasing initially. A fellow calgunner sold it to me for $500 with custom grips, polished slide, and night sights. I couldn't pass it up. If you have smaller hands, it's a good choice.
