    lwrc pistol

I was about to disassemble my lwrc psd pistol and noticed a couple things.

    1. The fastening ring around the buffer tube is on there insanely tight. I tried to look for signs of locktite or if it was permanently fixed in position so you can't remove the buffer tube but i couldn't tell.

    2. I also tried to pull out the buffer spring and follower but I am unable to get it passed the nipple. I believe it is because the spring is different and has a flat surface to it instead of a rounded one like usual. So you can't just force it over the nipple and it gets stuck.

Anyone have any experience with these issues? I want to disassemble the darn thing and give it a cleaning. Does LWRC permanently fix them or what? Maybe I just need to put some "man" into it, lol. I just don't wanna damage it.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

I have one (M6A2 PSD-P). Buffer is held in place by a cap, you need to remove the allen screw in back, but once you do that it should not be "tight", it should slide freely.

Regarding the spring and nipple, have you tried pushing the nipple down and pulling the spring out "ring by ring"? It is NOT a permanently fixed part.

If you're located anywhere near LA, I'd be happy to take a look at it for ya (we can meet up for a shoot and check-out). I'm REALLY close to LA Gun Club (work). Willing to meet up @ Burro Canyon or Angeles or LAX range also.

No probs, always happy to meet up w/ another LWRC owner.

I'll be @ LAGC tonight and Thursday around 7pm ish (after I get off work) for a quick on the way home shoot. Let me know and I can bring my tools along too.

My LWRC was used, and the previous owner had replaced the buffer tube w/ an after market part, and lost the nipple as a result. Real bummer to break apart. I replaced the nipple w/ LWRC factory parts and in the process learned how to disassemble the back.

Did you get the cap off?

No manuals with mine, totally military style on the job training (OJT) 'ere.
