    Open Carry under 21???

This is just another random question I thought of. I am wondering what prohibitions there are against someone under the age of 21 open carrying a handgun. Now this question only relates to an intra-familial transfer. Lets say 20 year old Billy got a transfer of a handgun from dad. What prohibitions does Billy have on open carrying? I have gone through the penal codes and only found information relating to the possession of a handgun by a minor(under 18). Now I do not see too much business for 18/19 year olds open carrying. You do have those 18 year old going on 40 types though. This was more of a father/mother and son/daughter open carry together type question assuming that the handgun is registered to that person under 21 years of age. Did I just find a loop-hole? Constructive criticism is accepted.

As long as the gun was aquired legally age is irrelevent.

A father can purchase a handgun and then give it to his 18 year old son and that son can then open carry it; it is his.

Yep. I remember reading somewhere one of the requirements for a Humboldt county CCW was you had to be 18.

Concealed carry statewide is 21 IIRC. However Open Carry has no such age restriction. Anyone who can legally be in possession of a firearm can legally open carry.

If you haven't seen it with your own eyes,
or heard it with your own ears,
don't make it up with your small mind,
or spread it with your big mouth.
