Metal on metal. Keep it well lubed and cleaned. It's eventual wear but that's pretty extreme for only 300 rnds through the pipe.

Mine has slight wear marks but nothing serious. I think once its well broken in you wont see any more wear.

The only thing that would bother me is the heavy wear on one side and none on the other.

Both my G23 & G27 have > 5000 rnds and show minor wear streaks but not worn through and perfectly even on both sides.

Edit: Now see what ya did! You made me look at them and they're filthy and now I have to clean em!

That looks like the factory copper colored, anti-seize/lube on the rail.

Glocks run just fine clean and dry for a short time, do not run dirty and dry, but they run forever oily and dirty....

Other than cleaning the barrel after every match, it is usually only once a year for a detail strip, about 15,000 -20,000 rounds

I don't understand why you guys don't clean your pistols. We all get the point that they are reliable, but to be honest not cleaning it just looks lazy to me. It should not look like you are shooting black powder out of it.

I wonder, can any other pistol manufacturer perform that dirty? (I.e. sig's, hk's, 1911's, cz's, etc?..)

I'm thinking maybe s&w m&p series? Cuz it's very much alike.
